Venus Williams – $95 Million
Venus Williams rose from a challenging childhood in Compton, Los Angeles, to become a champion in women’s professional tennis and a four-time Olympic gold medalist. The athlete learned to play tennis on the public courts of LA. And in 1994, she turned professional and went on to win an Olympic gold medal in singles play and seven Grand Slam titles. With her sister, Serena Williams, also a prolific and successful tennis player, Williams teamed up with her in several doubles championships, boosting her total victory even after getting diagnosed with a medical condition in 2011.
The tennis virtuoso was the first unseeded player in the U.S. Open women’s finalist in 1997 in the Open era. Williams both won the U.S. Open and Wimbledon three years later, resulting in a lucrative endorsement deal with Reebok worth $40 million. And over the years, she continues to increase her net worth, which is now at $95 million. Also, Williams received numerous credits for her accomplishments, like WTA Player of the Year, among many others.
