Diane Keaton | Dexter & Duke

Diane Keaton has had a tremendous career as an actress, but the award-winning thespian said there’s no greater achievement than being a mother to her two kids, Dexter and Duke. Diane became a mom when she was 50 years old when she adopted her daughter Dexter Keaton. Then, in 2001, the actress took in Duke, expanding her family to three members.

According to the actress, having her children when she was already in her fifties shifted her perspective and made her more empathetic. It has also allowed her to feel empowered, thanks to the love she gives and receives as a single mother. Her children are adults now and are striking out on their own. However, they continue to support their mom’s every project and investment. Despite doing it solo and in her 50s, it’s clear that Diane did an excellent job at raising her kids.
