KEITH THIBODEAUX
Keith Thibodeaux captivated America’s hearts as “Little Ricky” on I Love Lucy 60 years ago. The show premiered on Oct. 15, 1951, and ran for six seasons, with 180 episodes. Keith was born in Louisiana and was discovered by bandleader Horace Heidt when he was three years old. His breakthrough came when he starred as Little Ricky on I Love Lucy in 1956. After I Love Lucy ended, Keith continued his career as a child actor, playing in other sitcoms such as The Andy Griffith Show.
Following his personal religious experiences, he finally became the drummer for the current Christian band David and the Giants. Thibodeaux ventured into investments and is currently the executive director of Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, Mississippi. Now 70 and one of the show’s last surviving cast members, Keith expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the cult classic.
