Francis Ford Coppola | Born 1939
$7.05 million – Hancock Park, Los Angeles
Widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, Francis Ford Coppola was a central figure in the New Hollywood filmmaking movement that was prevalent in the ‘60s to ‘70s. Being part of the Hollywood Renaissance has earned him many accolades, including five Academy Awards and six Golden Globes. Among his more notable works are The Godfather and The Conversation.
It is interesting to note that Coppola and Ariana Grande once shared a home in Hancock Park. Technically, the actor owned it, and it was rented out to the singer. At least Grande did not have to worry about mortgages as she was only leasing the house. However, the Tudor-style residence was recently listed for sale and was eventually disposed of for $7.05 million. It was on the market for $6.95, but the purchaser paid a bit more, probably because it once housed Coppola and Grande.
